Meet Our Team

Lana Sonnier Venable
Owner/Principal
Lana is a veteran strategist, skilled communicator, and diplomatic problem-solver with experience in all facets of public affairs across the for profit, government, and nonprofit sectors. She has a proven track record of developing and executing effective communications strategies, as well as cultivating long-term relationships with elected officials, community leaders, policy makers and other key stakeholders to inform and influence public opinion. Her expertise in leveraging media contacts at all levels has generated positive media coverage and helped define the narrative on issues across multiple platforms for her clients.
Prior to launching Continuum Strategies in 2018, Lana spent more than a decade in public and government affairs at a Fortune 10 petrochemical company in Baton Rouge. In addition to serving as a company spokesperson, she developed and executed strategic communications and advocacy campaigns and led crisis planning, training and response activities. Working with a variety of stakeholders, she worked to address critical issues and promote the company’s outreach and philanthropic events.
Lana’s prior experience includes serving as Louisiana Economic Development Press Secretary following Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, acting as primary department spokesperson and coordinating trade missions, press events and working across state agencies on a variety of response and recovery programs. She has also led government relations programs for both the American Cancer Society and American Heart Association in Louisiana and held leadership positions with other nonprofit organizations in Washington, D.C., and Atlanta.
An LSU graduate, Lana has participated in business leadership courses at the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Business School and at the University of Texas McCombs School of Business. She has participated in and conducted training in media relations, stakeholder engagement and crisis communications.
She is a member of the Public Relations Association of Louisiana (PRAL), an alumnus of the Council for a Better Louisiana’s 2010 Leadership Louisiana class and a sustaining member of the Junior League. She has served on numerous boards including the Louisiana State Museum, Friends of Louisiana Public Broadcasting, Big Buddy, and the American Cancer Society.
Lana is a native of Oberlin, LA and resides in Baton Rouge with her husband Hollis, their three kids and rambunctious rescue dog Tillie.

Korey Ryder is a seasoned political strategist and public affairs leader with over a decade of experience at the intersection of campaign innovation, grassroots advocacy, and government engagement.
A proud Louisiana native, Korey has built a reputation for bringing state and local politics into the 21st century - redefining how candidates and causes connect with voters in a digital age.
Throughout his career, Korey has worked high-stakes campaigns and policy initiatives across Louisiana, with a consistent focus on integrating cutting-edge media and voter outreach technology into traditional frameworks. From producing compelling digital narratives to deploying advanced canvassing tools, he understands that authentic storytelling and modern strategy are essential to reaching and mobilizing today’s electorate.
Whether he’s building bipartisan coalitions, shaping policy conversations, or mentoring the next generation of campaigners, Korey’s work is grounded in the belief that democracy thrives when communities are informed, engaged, and empowered.
Korey lives in Baton Rouge with his husband and two dogs.
